Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga was selected as a Centre of Research Excellence in 2002. Our vision is the transformation of New Zealand society to achieve full participation by Māori in all aspects of society and the economy. The mission of the Institute is to provide excellent research, training and knowledge transfer to support achievement of the vision.
