Applications for NPM's Summer Internship Programme are open once again! 30 summer internship positions will be selected and confirmed from the 49 project proposals.
These are open for our tauira to apply, review the projects, then get your CV and application together and apply by 12 October!
In 2020 we are also including three special named inaugural internship awards. These scholarships honour three of our esteemed NPM scholars and their whānau.
Professor Michael Walker Scholarship: Understanding a taonga species: He Kohinga Mātauranga, He Iti Pounamu for our Te Tai Ao Research Theme
Associate Professor Mānuka Hēnare Scholarship: Whai Rawa Whai Ora: A tribute to Mānuka Hēnare’s vision for a healthy Māori wellbeing economy for our Whai Rawa Research Theme.
Professor Wharehuia Milroy Scholarship: Understanding, articulating and measuring the language shift at the micro-level for our Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori Research Theme.
Our Summer Internships are for students interested in gaining some real research experience, and working with senior NPM researchers over the coming 2020-2021 summer. The internship programme is intended to provide experience and support for Māori students interested in pursuing research.
