The book is edited by Professors Jacinta Ruru FRSNZ and Linda Waimarie Nikora FRSNZ of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga and is published by Otago University Press and can be purchased through their website. The Value of the Māori Language Book Launch: Te Hua o Te Reo Māori Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, in association with Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Otago, through their Te Kura Roa research programme, launched a significant Māori language book ‘The Value of the Māori Language: Te Hua o Te Reo Māori’ on the 16th June 2014 at Te Whare Waka o Pōneke, 15 Jervois Quay Wellington.
Te Hua o Te Reo Māori book was launched by Professor Piri Sciascia and the book authors. Talks and panel discussions from the book contributors followed, including book editors Associate Professors Rawinia Higgins and Poia Rewi, and contributors Māmari Stephens, Jeremy Tātere MacLeod, Dr Te Taka Keegan, Te Ururoa Flavell, Hana O’Regan, Dr Korohere Ngapo, Dr Rangi Matamua, Toni Waho, Te Ripowai Higgins and Dr Joe Te Rito.
