Professor Khylee Quince is the Dean of the School of Law, where she has been on staff since 2017. Prior to that she was the Associate Dean Maori at the University of Auckland Faculty of Law, where she was on staff since 1998.
Khylee is an expert in criminal law and justice, youth justice and Maori legal issues. She has taught and researched in these fields, and in 2014 was awarded a National Tertiary Teaching Excellence Award for Sustained Excellence, following Faculty of Law and University of Auckland Teaching Awards in 2013.
Khylee has extensive experience in governance, as chair of the New Zealand Drug Foundation, the Sursum Foundation charitable trust and as a trustee on school boards. She is regularly engaged as an expert consultant by government and non-government organisations, including the Ministry of Justice, Department of Corrections, New Zealand Police, TVNZ and Te Pihopatanga o Aotearoa. She has served on the New Zealand Parole Board, and is currently a trustee of St John;s Theological College.
